Heavily Armed with Hosiery / Fuertemente Armada con Medias

Consciously communicating through clothing is a peaceful weapond on your hands… or body, should I say. Given a certain situation, I may be pushed to dress in order to make a point in a subtle way (although if it’s a response to a personal attack, the offender always realises). This is not to be taken lightly, for wearing clothes as a sign of protest has been used by several ideologies in history as a way of expressing belonging to a group, or as a media to built an identity. Sometimes, some groups gained such power, that what they dressed became a symbol for their cause. Punks expressed their ideology through clothing, the French Revolution changed the way society dressed, and even had a revival of what was thought of Ancient Greece’s style, because of the political ideals that that society embrased.

So it is not to wonder why I wore this to Fashion Week. All summer was a non-stop parade of high heeled-girls with skimpy dresses, as if this was the only way to dress. I realise that beauty is a concept that rises from a standard criteria that goes hand in hand with contemporary beliefs, but this is taking it to the extreme. I decided to wear anything but a dress and heels, and still making it interesting and fun. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, so BEHOLD!

Hello! Thank you for visiting me. There is a brand new store located in the neighbourhood of Palermo, in 1875 Gurruchaga st. Although I must tell you these are old, but hopefully they’ll make a come back. In spite of that, they have a lot of variety, and best news is :they have the same prices as in Brazil! Have fun, and tell me what you got!
